Michael joined the Institute of Bee Health in September 2022 as a research fellow. His main interests are on honey bee stressors with particular focus on small hive beetles. His PhD work will focus on the transmission and impact of SHB in its native range in Kenya. He pursued his M.Sc. in Biochemistry at Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology, where his research focus was on the pollen nutrition and its influence on honeybee health.
