Michael joined the Institute of Bee Health in September 2022. His main research interests are on stressors of both honeybees and stingless bees such as malnutrition, pesticide use, pests and pathogens. His PhD is on the transmission and impact of a honeybee pest, Small Hive Beetles (SHB) in its native range.
